Laboratories are legally required to retain physical slides for a minimum of ten years. Scientific discovery such as molecular genomics requires storing physical slides and tissue blocks. RARS is an innovative product that uses robotics and AI to archive and retrieve slides in an efficient and highly organized manner. This system can be used anywhere there are pathology laboratories including medical centers, hospitals, R&D labs, veterans or military hospitals. RARS was developed by a talented team of pathologists and engineers who, with the Medical and Engineering Schools of the University of Kansas, secured a patent in 2018.
